So what was my motivation to join the Amateur Baseball Report family?
Simple.
When talking to the ABR staff about jumping on board, they made it perfectly clear their top priority was the player.
Not the checkbook of that player's family. That was certainly refreshing to hear.
ABR is intent on helping individual players reach their full potential. Not only by improving a player's skills and fundamentals through top instruction, which ABR boasts, but making certain those skills and fundamentals are provided with a wide stage to be viewed.
Sometimes that stage is on a local level, other times its national. In today's baseball world, competition for top talent is at a premium from the youth to collegiate levels. Which is why an increasing amount of local players are being recruited by national powerhouse collegiate programs.
I'm proud to say that ABR has opened the doors for many of those players by sponsoring player showcases, scouted team tournaments, clinics and showcase tournaments. Each provides unparalleled national exposure to college coaches and scouts.
Make no mistake, ABR is without peers when it comes to providing comprehensive exposure to the high school and youth baseball community. Additionally, ABR offers players the opportunity to not only see different parts of the country through the teams it sponsors, but it also affords players the chance to compete internationally.
ABR's 18-U team will compete in Japan this August. How many families, much less teenagers, can boast of that experience? It certainly helps to possess the support and sponsorship of USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association), which governs 13 sports and has a sponsorship approximately of 3.7 million individuals. Yes, there is power in numbers and the relationship between ABR and USSSA has proven beneficial for everyone, most importantly, the players. Through its website, ABR also provides interactive and updated player profiles that are reliable and trusted. Personally, I still cherish my experiences playing high school, college and professional baseball. However, I know I could have enhanced my experience if I had a vehicle available that provided additional exposure and instruction. Yes, somebody like ABR.
So that's why I've signed on, so to say, with my ultimate desire to enhance the ABR experience for players and parents.
