Andrew Margolick is a former left-handed pitcher who retired from baseball in 1998.  A native of Farmington Hills, Michigan, he signed his Letter of Intent to play college baseball at the University of Southern California under longtime coach Mike Gillespie, now head coach of UC Irvine.  He ultimately transferred to Barry University, where he was a Collegiate Baseball All American in 1995.  Following a career in which he set or tied seven records (finishing in the top three in 15), Margolick played two years of professional baseball, finally retiring due to injury.  He has worked with many pitchers, from Little Leaguers up to Major Leaguers, and uses his extensive knowledge to write about the importance of both the physical and mental side of pitching.
