ABR: Before coming up with the Cubs, had you ever been to Wrigley Field before?

RT: No, my first time was my first game. It was great, but I was spoiled playing at LSU. Still, the fans in Chicago are like no other; they’re diehard and they know baseball.

ABR: Are you still in awe of some of the players that are around you?

RT: Yes and no. There are guys I respect so much for their longevity. But when you’re in awe, you don’t perform the way you should. Guys like A-Rod, Jeter, D-Lee, you respect them in a different way, for sure.

ABR: What is like, being part of Cub history?

RT: It’s been a blessing. I feel lucky to be in this situation. It’s the coolest thing, knowing that we haven’t won in so long and the prospect of being on a winning team.

ABR: How’s playing for Lou Pinella?

RT: Lou’s a fair man. He expects the best out of you at all times, expects 100% at all times. He understands winning and what it takes to have a good team.

ABR: What would Chicago be like if the Cubs won?

RT: It would be unbelievable. I can say it wouldn’t be another 100 years until the next one. This city, our fans, deserve a World Series victory. The city would rally around us. The fans wouldn’t change bit. They’ve always stuck with us, through thick and thin.
