While both players are anticipating the next step in their respective baseball careers, they still remain focused and dedicated to their summer teams. Michael, a corner infielder/right-handed pitcher, is currently a standout player for the LaCrosse American Legion team based out of Wisconsin. Over the past week (as of June 20), Michael has mainted a .500 batting average and led his team to a big victory over the Rochester A's, 13-4. In the game, Michael had two hits, including a long home run and three RBIs. In his high school career, Michael was known for his smooth swing and his excellent hitting. In his senior year, he hit .345 with a .537 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was intregal in leading his team to conference, sectional, and regional championships. He's been honored with All-City, All-MVC Conference, and Big Stick awards.
Daniel, a center fielder/right-handed pitcher who played for La Crosse Logan high school last season (where he'll attend next year is yet to be determined), enjoyed his own success in his freshman campaign. He batted .609 with an .853 on-base percentage, and a .659 slugging percentage. With his Wisconsin Boys Club Team, Daniel will compete in national tournaments in Omaha, California, and Texas. Maybe its genetics, some sort of Darwinian evolution that has made Michael and Daniel Verdoliva Weber prodigously talented baseball players.
